Andrew Kim Tae-gon was born on August 21, 1821 in Zero-Mae (Solmoe), Provincial Chu'ung-Chong, South Korea's central region. When he was seven years old, a man who is fondly called Kim and his family left his hometown to Golbaemasil Mankok-ri, Youngin-gun District, Kyungki Province.

"Dear brothers and sisters, know this, our Lord Jesus Christ came into this world to restore all our suffering and founded the Church of the Holy. He did it all through His suffering on the cross. Furthermore, Jesus was willing to do it all for the love of his human and his obedience to God the Father.
Now, after five or six years has entered the Holy Church of Korea, suffering because the obedience of faith over and over again. However, remember the love of God to us. As Scripture says, "God preserve us until every strand of our hair." And, it's true, he continues to care for us and know everything that happens to us.
Today, we number only 20 people live alone, but thanks to God. We are still in good condition. If someone is killed again, I beg you, do not forget his family. Currently, we're fighting for our faith, and I will continue to be with you in prayer so that when we later meet in heaven, we can smile to each other. I will always love you. "
